Dinghy Update | Australia win SailGP Grand Final despite whale interruption

It’s not every day that a whale can step in and stop a race in its tracks?

If you haven’t already watched the San Francisco Sail GP racing over the weekend it is worth having a look.

Also consider all three of the skippers in the final million dollar race are Australian … two coming out out of pedigree dinghy racing!

Season Training, Storage and Lease Fees

Please be aware there are a number of outstanding payments which we need to reconcile, we will be contacting individuals to clear up dinghy storage, leasing and summer season training fees.

In a number of cases it maybe the club has not provided notice re payments, apologies but we do need to clear up payments.
Note the summer training fee of $280.00 for all sailors participating in any training from October 2021 to April 2022. This equates to $40/month.

We would like to acknowledge those who have already paid their fee and thank them for their cooperation.

Season Training, Storage and Lease Fees

The Dinghy Committee is keen to see and share photographs of dinghy training and racing and have set up a link to share details below:

a. The photos should have sufficient text to identify sailors and activity, i.e. Here is Ben Nevis rigging his Optimist for the coaching session on 25 Jan 2020.

b.  photos will culled/ archived by the Dinghy Committee every six months. In addition good photos will be used in the bi-annual production of the FSC Blue Water Bulletin, used internally and externally to the club.

Please share your good photos

All that is required is for you to have a Google email

Our Dinghy Committee is made up of volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the Club’s Dinghy Section runs smoothly.

We have developed an Organisation Chart to ensure that our sailors and their parents are aware of who our committee members are, and what their roles entail.
