This Learn to Sail course is perfect for young teens who want to try sailing in a non-competitive, social and fun setting. The course involves sailing on small sailing boats with two or three participants on board. No previous sailing experience is required and all equipment is provided. The course runs as a 12-hour course typically during the School Holidays. All courses are run by qualified Australian Sailing Instructions.
Before making a booking, please note the following:
To make a booking for a course, an Australian Sailing (AS) Number is required for each participant.
If you’re not sure whether the participant already has an AS number or to learn more about AS numbers, please click here.
If the child does not have an AS number, simply click on the ‘Sign Up‘ button when making the booking.
When booking a course for your child, please enter the child’s details as the course participant and not the parent’s/guardian’s.
Only 1 participant per registration. If registering 2 or more participants, a separate registration for each is required.
This course will develop teamwork skills, get you outdoors and introduce you to new friends, all whilst learning the foundation skills of sailing. Like many sports, parents are an integral part of the learning and development process, they form a key link in the program and are encouraged to be involved from the outset. This course is the perfect opportunity for the family to decide if they would like to join the Club community.
