Fremantle Road Closures & Restricted Club Access – High Voltage Event – 7 May 2023

Dear Members

Tourism WA in partnership with Perth Festival Special Projects will be staging High Voltage – a one day event celebrating music and community in the heart of Fremantle.

High Voltage will see 5kms of road closed in the heart of Fremantle, starting at the Fremantle Oval, and looping down to include Wilson Park in South Fremantle, Esplanade Reserve and then a final moment back at the intersection of Parry Street and South Terrace.

Traffic controls will be in place from early morning and road closures will be in effect from 10.00am, Sunday 7 May 2023. Roads will be opening from 6pm at the direction of WA Police to ensure a smooth re-opening and reduce congestion.

This event unfortunately will mean a disruption to the Club and that there will be restricted access to the Club. The attached map details the roads that will be closed. Access to the Club will be possible via South Street and Marine Terrace only and even though the map describes this route as an “Active Road through event” we have been advised that it will be a controlled access to avoid disruptions to the parade and for safety reasons. Therefore, should you be trying to access or leave the club on Sunday 7 May please be prepared for delays. Due to this disruption and likely resultant patronage at the Club we will be reducing our Food & Beverage operations on the day. The kitchen will be closed; however, the bar will be open from 11am to 6pm, with food available from the Kiosk.

Please find attached a map of the road closures here

Best regards
