Women’s Sailing RAMPs Up at Fremantle Sailing Club

The FSC Women’s Racing and Mentorship Program (RAMP) is a new sailing initiative at Fremantle Sailing Club created to get more women on water by improving their skills and engaging in Club activities. RAMP will work with the On Water Office to engage women who have completed a Learn to Sail course, or who are currently active sailors and are looking to improve their sailing skills. The program will also offer social activities such as twilight sailing, guest speaker information nights and social nights.

The program’s first year will focus on creating leaders within the group that help support monthly twilight social nights and once a month on- water coaching opportunities. Current members of the group include Carolyne Bush, Amanda Casebier, Ella Clark, Kate Lathouras and Shelley White.

Upcoming RAMP events:

  1. November 5: RAMP will be hosting an afternoon race on Swan River Sailing’s fleet of Foundation 36s and post cocktail fundraiser at FSC. Tickets are now available via the link below . RAMP are currently seeking silent auction prizes. If you are interested in donating a prize, please click here.
