Get Your Kids on the Ocean this Summer!

Try Sailing for kids is about creating an opportunity in a fun and friendly environment to give sailing a go. No previous sailing experience is required, and all equipment including small boats and lifejackets are provided. The 10-12 hour course is held over four Saturdays during the Summer Season or as a School Holiday adventure. All courses are run by a qualified Australian Sailing Instructor.

Course Prerequisite

  • Water Confident 
  • Aged 7 – 10

Course Outcomes

  • Weather introduction
  • Learn how to set up your boat for sailing
  • Understand points of sail to the wind
  • Leaving and coming back to the beach
  • Capsizing
  • Sailing in a straight line
  • Towing
  • Tacking (turning the boat around)

Like many sports, parents are an integral part of the learning and development process, they form a key link in the program and are encouraged to be involved from the outset. This course is the perfect opportunity for the family to decide if they would like to join the Club community.

Saturday morning courses are $120 and run across four consecutive Saturdays from 9.00am – 11.30am.

School Holiday Courses

School Holiday courses are $170 and are held Tuesday to Friday mornings from 9.00am – 12.00pm.
