Live Music For Open Day: Confirmed!

We’re excited to announce that at this year’s FSC Open Day, we will be host to 3 outstanding new talents in Michael Dunstan, Sam McGovern & Ben Lunt.

Michael, Sam and Ben are some of Perth’s finest acoustic folk artists who have spent the last few years travelling around Australia on their respective tours, treating their growing base of fans to their exceptionally good tunes.

We are incredibly excited to have them join us on the Sunset Deck from 10:30am to celebrate this year’s Open Day.
Food trucks, coffees and a range of tap beers will all be available at the club on the day – so come down and enjoy some of the best young WA talents on offer from our beautiful waterfront location.

This is a FREE event – No tickets or registrations are required.

Michael Dunstan
Born and raised in the quaint Wheatbelt of WA, Michael’s career has seen the twenty-six year-old expand his horizons as his music takes him around Australia and New Zealand. However, that doesn’t mean he’s left his regional roots in the dust. His laid-back attitude and preference for a slower pace of life is exemplified in his music, which is rooted in a mix of traditional folk and relaxed surf-rock styles. Michael has swiftly sprawled his intricate song writing globally since the release of his debut EP ‘Solace’ in January 2017. He followed up with the sophomore EP ‘Partly Cloudy’, brooding EP ‘New Normal’, and now an offering of perspective; the 14-track debut album ‘In The Grand Scheme’. To date, the releases have loyally garnered in excess of 10 million streams on Spotify alone. 

Sam McGovern
You might recognise Sam McGovern from this year’s season of The Voice Australia. Sam McGovern, a 22 year old singer songwriter and guitarist from Perth Western Australia was born and raised by a strong combination of music and the ocean. From a young age Sam had either a guitar in hand or a surfboard under his arm, these two hobbies therefore became second nature to him. Spending most of his time on the road traveling around the coast, Sam derives experiences from those moments and en-captures these songs. His stories are told through heartfelt and honest lyrics that unravel a deeper meaning. Bursting into the Perth music scene, Sam has been selling out shows all over the State attracting huge audiences.

Ben Lunt
Travel inspired tunes to make you dance or just chill to “in the summertime”, you’ll soon enough come to remember (but mostly enjoy) the sounds of Ben Lunt. Growing up in the suburbs just out of the city of Perth, Western Australia. Ben has been writing love songs ever since I was in Primary school, with his first release coming in 2020 called “Lady Bug.” A chill little indie/ folk tune recorded and performed solo. Since then Ben has been traveling the last two years, along this beautiful state performing north and south ends. In which experiencing its wonders has inspired to write his latest single “West Coast.”
