3 Ports Cruise March 2023

The Cruising Section’s Fabulous 3Ports Cruise is coming this Long Weekend 4^th to 6^th March 2023

Saturday 4 March 2023,
You may leave FSC at anytime you wish to arrive at TCYC Rockingham mid-afternoon.
Please sign in on departure [or after 10am] on VHF Chl 77 with vessel (T.B.A.) if you wish to be considered for the participating prizes for the day.

Some prizes for Participation will be handed out in the afternoon at TCYC. This will take place in at approximately 18:00 hours on the Saturday.

Sunday 5th March 2023 

You may leave TCYC at anytime you wish to arrive at Hillarys Yacht Club (HYC) mid-afternoon.
Please sign in on departure [or after 10am] on VHF Chl 77 with vessel (T.B.A.) if you wish to be considered for the participating prizes for the day.

Some prizes for Participation will be handed out in the afternoon at HYC. This will take place in the Yacht Club Bar at approximately 17:00 hours on the Sunday.

Monday 6th March 2023 

Again you may leave HYC at anytime you wish to return back to FSC close to 3 PM Monday.

Please sign in on departure [or after 10am] on VHF Chl 77 with vessel (T.B.A.) if you wish to be considered for the participating prizes for the day.  Remember to SIGN OFF when you return back to FSC. We will all meet up back at FSC for a complimentary BBQ in the afternoon, and the participation prices will also be handed out around 4pm.

SHIPPING, RESTRICTED AREAS, SHOALS and REEFS

Sailing in Cockburn Sound, be aware of Shipping, especially in the Channel.
Look out for the Shallow areas around Fish Rocks, and on the Success and Parmelia Banks. Take care in the area North of Southern flats so you don’t get tangled up in the Mussel farm there. STAY AWAY FROM DINGHY RACING FROM TCYC.
Also the Boating Restricted Area just NE of the TCYC Jetty on the map below should be avoided – a $2000 fine may be issued if you go in there.
