NO RACING THIS WEEK

Due to a lack of numbers and volunteers racing will not be running this weekend.

Many of our sailors are competing in some form or another this weekend across events such as the Opti states, 505 states, and Sail Melbourne.

Regular training will still run in the morning.

NOTE: Training will be run in the afternoon to replace club racing

CLASS VOLUNTEERS

It’s been fantastic to see such strong representation so far on class volunteering days at club racing. We’re exceptionally grateful for your contributions.

The preliminary schedule for class related volunteering has been attached to provide more clarity around dates.

If you have any questions get in touch with the boating office.

THIS WEEK: NO RACING

ILCA STATES - RESULTS

Congratulations to all the Fremantle sailors who took part in the ILCA states over the weekend.

Geographe Bay Yacht Club (GBYC) hosted over 45 Lasers all vying for titles on their pristine waters.

A special acknowledgement to Luke Carrick for winning the ILCA 6 fleet and Thomas Cooper for finishing 2nd in the ILCA 4.

Hopefully, Fremantle sailors can carry there positive momentum into the National championships at the end of the year.

SINGAPORE OPTIS

This week we will be welcoming two groups of gold fleet, performance orientated optimist sailors from Singapore.

This is an excellent opportunity for Fremantle Opti sailors to get experience in bigger and more competitive fleets.

Please make them feel welcome at the club

ICR REGATTA (7TH + 8TH DEC)

Entries are now open for RFBYC’s annual International Classes Regatta (ICR)!

Fremantle members are encouraged to make the trip to the river for what promises to be excellent racing. All classes sailed at Fremantle are eligible to enter.

Youth classes will have a number of open training sessions in the lead up to the event. A schedule for these has been attached.

NOTE: NO CLUB RACING AT FREMANTLE ON ICR WEEKEND

RTYF TEAMS RACING

Ron Tough Yachting Foundation (RTYF) is excited to announce a new teams racing opportunity!

This is an excellent opportunity for sailors test their skills and learn new tactics in a different sphere of racing. RFBYC is hosting training in partnership with RTYF every Tuesday, 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Attached is the flyer.

Not all tasks are on water. You could assist in the Canteen, cook up a BBQ or beach marshalling.
